Commercial Indoor Air Quality Management

Indoor air quality projects start with the space, occupancy, target outcomes, and the team responsible for ongoing operation. Pettus helps organizations compare standalone and networked Fellowes options, then coordinate product selection, placement, electrical and network requirements, maintenance responsibilities, and implementation details. Final performance depends on the selected equipment, room conditions, and project-specific design.

Start with operating reality

Bring three inputs to the first conversation

A product list becomes useful only after the rooms, performance intent and operating responsibilities are visible.

Spaces

Plans and room uses

Share square footage, ceiling conditions, typical occupancy, hours and any spaces with distinct concerns.

Performance

Air-change and monitoring goals

Identify the project team’s ventilation and indoor-air targets rather than choosing from headline coverage alone.

Operations

Power, network and maintenance

Clarify who receives alerts, replaces filters, reviews data and coordinates with building systems.

Buyer planning path

Move from concern to maintainable solution

01

Map the spaces

Document room sizes, uses, occupancy patterns, ceilings and current building conditions.

02

Set the criteria

Establish air-change, sensing, reporting, noise, appearance and integration priorities with the project team.

03

Compare current paths

Review product coverage, placement, controls, connectivity and current product information.

04

Plan ownership

Confirm installation, commissioning, subscriptions, filter supply, alert routing and periodic review.

Buyer questions

Air quality management FAQs

Is one purifier enough for an entire office?

Do not assume so. Equipment count and placement depend on room volume, layout, occupancy, desired air changes per hour and the current model documentation. Review enclosed rooms and open areas separately.

How do Array, AeraMax Pro and small-office models differ?

Array is Fellowes’ connected mitigate-monitor-manage platform. AeraMax Pro is the current commercial purifier line with multiple mounting and capacity paths. The SE and SV are floor-standing models documented for small-office use.

Can Array data connect with a building management system?

Fellowes currently documents API and BACnet integration under Viewpoint Plus. Compatibility, network/security review, points, controls and implementation scope remain building-specific.

Does portable air cleaning replace ventilation?

No blanket substitution should be assumed. Coordinate air cleaning with the building’s ventilation strategy, applicable requirements and qualified building professionals.
